echo 500vl help

I won an echo cs500vl on the bay the week. The numbers coincide with the recall on them. serial number 0012910 It has a good piston and cylinder on it. I have another one serial number 0106636 that has a bad piston and cylinder Im going to contact echo try and get a new saw under the recall. Id like to take the piston and cylinder of the recall saw and and put it on the later serial number saw Im just checking with the old school guys to see if they are compatible. If the serial number is right,they will give you a new saw,equal to,or larger then the 500vl. I have one but serial number didn't match
