Hi Everyone,
I have an Echo CS-600P saw that needs a new cylinder, but I am confused about the part numbers listed in Echo's parts catalog. The 600's with serial number ranges of S/N: C03603001001 - C03603999999 & S/N: C03704001001 - C03704999999 have part #A130000910 for the cylinder.

The serial number of my saw is in this range: S/N: C22312001001 - C22312999999, which lists this part #A130002041 for the cylinder. This is also the same part number for the CS-590 Timberwolf cylinder.

I have searched the forums and have read that the 590 is less powerful than the 600. I want my 600 to have the power it is supposed to have so I am confused as to which cylinder I need for my 600. Which one should I get?

From another thread on this site posted by Edge & Engine Link:http://www.arboristsite.com/community/threads/echo-cs-590-timberwolf-vs-echo-cs-600p.233800/

"The CS-590 is a trimmed down version of the CS-600. it has less power and some cheaper components (handlebar, bar & chain). It's aimed at the farm/ranch market, and if it runs anything like the CS-600 (We have them in stock but I have not run one) it should be a good seller. IMO it is priced very well."

The 590 and 600P have the same power and use the same cylinder pn# A130002041, the 600P has upgraded bar/chain, aluminum handle and a rim sprocket clutch drum assembly vs spur sprocket. The 600P has been discontinued because the price difference vs the 590 was too high. The price of the 620P which does use a different cylinder and has more power has been reduced to make it a more logical step up from the CS-590. We have the 590/600 cylinders available. http://www.sawagain.com/echo-cs-590-600p-timber-wolf-cylinder-new-oem-a130002041/

Thanks Dan. I just wanted to make sure I get the right cylinder. I'll be placing an order soon.

What's list price on a 620P now?

Echo dropped the price of the CS-620P from $649 to $549. When the CS-590 was sitting on our shelf at $399 and the CS-600P was next to it at $549 and the 620P at $649 the the smart conclusion was to grab the CS-590. We didnt even bother to stock the 600P or the 620P but now we do as the 620P is a logical step up from the 590 as you can make a solid case for the additional money, prior to these changes you could not IMOP.
