Farm Boss??

One of my best friends has a Stihl 038 Farm Boss AVS with about 10 hours on it. He's one of those guys who has 6 saws & needs only 2. I'm a guy with one & needing a back up. I ran a tank of gasoline through it today. Runs very smooth & everything works fine. Can someone tell me the CC & HP of this saw? I searched a couple threads but seems they couldn't decide between 61 or 67 CC. Another place says 61CC & 4HP. Help

AVS = Super which is 67cc. That is, if the top cover is correct to the saw. Nice machine and a good one to have. Sometimes it gets overshadowed by it's larger brother the 72cc magnum. I'll take a strong Super over a worn out Magnum every time.

Is there a secret to maneuvering that site? When I go to manufactures I can't find a 038 or 034, my two saws.

All 038 saws are A/V regardless if the tag says so. A/V is anti-vibe. There were some older saws (like thed 041) that could be had without the A/V. I think they ran out of room on the tag for 038 AV Super Farm Boss Electronic. So the Super became AVS on some models. Same goes for the 024 AVS which also means Super (and in this case, longer stroke.) There are a few items to consider on a used 038, but all are easy fixes. I don't think I have ever had an 038 come into my shop with a functional kill switch.
