Brian, you serious?
Rat infested? What kind of rats?
I had a big grey squirell run across my leg once, took a couple of years off. Thank god I believe in 100% tie off.
Also found a lot of snakeskins, (black snakes love to climb),
have yet to meet one.....

Much work in the Keys besides rat-infested palms. Tamarinds, sapodillas, mahogany, casuarina galore, some beautiful hardwoods and fruit trees. I spent 1978-1985(godI'mold) there, part-time--mostly to avoid WI winters; time of my life in fact. Partnered with a guy who ran "Leapin' Lizard Tree Svc."

While you're in the trees, pick the fruit and process it when you're done so you can sell cookies and smoothies to the tourists who are getting recreational while watching the sunset at Mallory Pier in Key West. Tamarind coolers, sapodilla-coconut cookies, a buck a pop, why not?

So hey if you're mobile give Gigi a call, what's to lose?
Cayo Hueso, Woeeoeeo

Whoops, sorry Ox I'll get you purged from this accursed machine yet!
