I could not find a thread specific to this so here it goes.

I will be installing a liner in my chimney and have read a lot of pros and cons to the various types. The flex is easier to install and costs less but I have heard that it is harder to clean making it a fire hazard. Is this true or just people promoting rigid liners?

I would like to do it once the right way but also would like to save some cash if it does not pose issues years from now.

I trust (most) of the people here and value the advice given.

Thanks!

I work for a company that manufacturers flex and their is no inherent problems with using it just as any pipe you need to make sure you clean in on an annual basis or if using wood that is not seasoned on a monthly or quarterly basis.
