Frog Skins for Additional Vent / Air in Filter Box

In another thread (https://www.arboristsite.com/threads/550xp-mark-2-572-fuel-mixture-with-pipe.369043/#post-8059189) there was a post that mentioned a product called "Frogz Skins". The post showed how member SquareGround3691 installed a Frogz Skin vent in a newer Husqvarna saw filter box. I'm intrigued by the concept. Does anybody else do this? Any real-world feedback? How well do these keep out the sawdust?

I used frogzskin on a 026 I picked up not long ago. The mesh is pretty fine I haven’t had any problems with fines getting through. Very nice USA made product.

I dont have them on a saw but I've used them on a racing quads air box.
They're kinda water proof so rain wont come in them but they dont stop fine dust, your air filter still does tho so it's not an issue.
On a ported saw in hot conditions they will help keep the saw cool and give it a little more air similar to a exposed velocity stack air filter.

Use them on atvs and snowmobiles. They're a good product.
