Found several Ganodermar curtisii popping up for the first time from some underground roots that lead to my oak tree with the closest one about 20 feet away. There had be an oak tree where the fungus popped up but it fell during straight line winds in 2011, so I wouldn’t guess that the fungus was not not for that tree. So is there very much concern about the health of the oak tree at this time?
