I'm breaking in my new ms260 about 4 tanks now and when i clean the air filter there is always some oil on it? is this because of they set it rich for break in? they told me to take it back in after 10 tanks to re-adjust the carb. I also find it reving out pretty good for a saw that is susposed to be set rich, I pulled the the plug and it was between biege and tan does that sound about right?

seems perfectly normal to me. The air filter getting oily could be the result of some spitback and richer mix, but nothing to worry about.
get the carb adjusted after break in and cut happily ever after.

The filter on my MS260 Pro always has oil on it too. The saw runs fine and gives me no trouble other than it hurts my hands and wrists. I guess the oil does not indicate a problem.
