Yes GNP is an amazing place. You posted these photos in Firewood section and I had some questions since I haven't been there in a while.
You actually got that close to the bear and big horn sheep?

You had posted pics of two trails. One was highline trail. What was the other? Where is the lake in your third shot?

That was Hidden Lake trail the opposite side of Highline trail Logans pass , did the East Grinnell Glacial trail to that was great to up to the Glacier .

I hike early morning before sunrise, so I can get the best shots camera wise .

Thanks, I remember now. BIL, his tow boys and I did the highline trail where we did see a small griz coming down the trail towards us. I told them to get off the trail. They were carrying walking sticks with those bells (dinner bells) on them. I told them to drop those noise makers.
We stopped at the lookout and didn't take the trail all the way down the lake. They were out of shape, despite my warning months in advance.

Yea , saw 4 total grizzlies one was probably 450 to 500 lbs had crossed the trail went into the brush was a bruiser, couldn’t get a pic of him before he disappeared.
