State finally opened up some wood cutting areas. Got a permit for one thats only 6 miles from my front door. Nice roads in and out.
I ran the Shindaiwa 577 and find it to be a pleasant step up from the 488's.
No slow down with this saw and a good chain. Can't wait to try out the new 695. I'm rethinking putting a 24" bar on her as most of this stuff can be easily handled with a 20" bar.
Some Alder, Fir, and Hemlock right on the road. Hard to beat.
Loading up the new trailer, sure beats crawling into the canopy
