Grape vine question

We planted three (2yr. old) grape vines last year...each a different kind. No grapes last year but this year one of the vines is covered in tiny clusters of what appears to be bunches of grapes. Each bunch is about the size of my thumb. We were all excited that we might have grapes this fall but now the little bunches seem to be withering away. All of the little "grapes" are turning into little fuzzy tips where the little grape was. Does anyone have any ideas about this. This is our first attempt at growing grapes. Thanks for your help! We are perplexed!

Fuzzy Tips

The fuzzy tips are most likely the flower clusters . They have a mild sweet smell . If you'll do a dogpile.com search on grapevine flowers they have pictures of the three types of flowers .
