Homelite Nead help with info on this saw

Ok, I tried to post this before lets see if it works, I can not find and model # but it does have a serial # on it

That's a Homelite Model XL.
What's the problem with it ?
I'd guess the fuel line is rotten. Open the tank, get a flashlight, and fish the filter/hose out.
I suspect you'll feel a gummy hose, if it doesn't fall apart while trying to fish it out.

It runs pretty good, need to know what the carb should be set at, would like to put a carb kit it it at some point, it will smoke like a smoke bomb if you turn it just right when using it

Turn the L and H carb. screws in until lightly seated . Count how many turns it took. Standard position is about 1 turn out from seated. From there, search "tuning" on this site.
