Worked on homelite 410 today, woman that dropped it off said her husband dropped a tree on it,bent bar,cracks in case all fixable.problem is would not run,not getting fule checked fule lines and vent, ok. pulled carb and cleaned it,didn't have kit but every thing looked ok. starts runs rough like flooding then runs full throttle till i shut it off h & L set by the book no amount of adj will stop full throttle ????????

Are you sure the jolt didn't knock the carb loose. Sounds like a major air leak at carb or maybe the broken case. Better check it out closer.

I checked compression is 160lbs dont have tester for crank seals....

might want to get one and check

That saw has a rubber intake boot. If it rots or becomes brittle it can crack or fall apart.

Yup, sounds like a bad air leak....
