Just came across this and really can't believe that anyone would do this. At all. I build production jigs, fixtures, stamping dies etc..., and machines for a living, and admit that there are certainly ways of going about it, but sheesh. You are dealing with irregular shapes and lengths. Never easy.
Seriously, sell what she has, and cut here a new 4 cords at the length she wants. 4 cords of wood that is cut to 2' long is a lot of pieces.
The only way i would ever consider it would be with a vertical bandsaw with a set of side fences. Even then, the amount of parts handling is absurd. I realize it is a paying job, and money can be very tight these days, but what she wants you do do is borderline stupid.
