been wondering all summer hoe much wood we were going to need this winter.
The main stack is about 50% construction wood, so dry and fast burning.

So I kept cutting and splitting own trees, although not bying any new wood, and ended up with 2 extra piles of 25m3 each hardwoods and fruit trees only.

With the winter coming to its end i now see that i will need another 4 winters to burn the main stack. Still have in total around 120m3 left.....

So, i have wood for another 5-7 years depending on the winters:clap:

Makes me worried, i cannot imagine life without having to do any cutting and splitting :(

Next years is cut, should finish splitting in the next few weeks. Had a good week last week. 1 farmer wanting a bunch of timber taken out of fencelines and a buddy just a couple miles away offering plenty of storage space. Might just have the next few years worth cut before the ground thaws. Bad news is that CAD is showing its ugly face around here, we'll see what happens.
