On a saw like that, 50 pulls. I would get my little squirt bottle of premix out and give the carb a few squirts and save time, wear and tear on the starter along with my arms.
I bought a refurb Husky 450 and dreaded having to start it. It is my first saw It took countless pulls. I thought it was me doing something wrong. Eventually I clogged the carb with ethanol after letting it sit. After hearing what the dealer wanted, to fix it, I took the carb apart, cleaned it with Gumout, switched to premix, ethanol free gas and now it starts in 2 or 3 pulls.
