13 on the truck 12 in a stacked unit probably!

8-12 around here is the usual amount for that size log bunk. That one looks well stacked so probably around 12

Would diameter of the logs have negative, positive, or no effect on overall split amount? Some of the logs are only 4" in diameter

I have never seen a load of logs like that before. (North of Pittsburgh) I would have a hard time making an educated guess for sure. Seems like a lot of saw time. How do you cut them? Do you even split some of them?

40x8x7/128= more than 10-12 for sure, but that's if my guesstimation on the measurements is right pretty sure it's conservative though.
Well are you going to leave us in the lurch? Or are you waiting to get it all processed and stacked for the big reveal?
There is a loader at the front of that trailer.

Ballpark formula,
I purchase / have purchased a lot of grapple truck loads over the years. It is impossible to nail down the amount of cut and split a load will yield on the button, way too many factors involved.
That said, I've used the following formula and found it to provide a decent estimate of cut and split yield ususally within +/- 10 percent.
Yield C&S = (Gross load volume in cu. ft.) X (2/3) ÷ (128)
If we plug in chipper1's numbers:
Yield= (40X8X7) X (.6667) ÷ (128)
= 11.67 cord
or 10.5 on the low end, 12.8 on the high.
Again, this is a method to get an estimate, use it if you wish, or don't, your choice.

I called it 30 x 8 x 8 and divided that by 128 to come up with the 15.
Trucks are licensed with a gross vehicle weight. Having a loader integral to the truck means it can't legally carry as much weight.
