Commercials like these, Stihl should buy some superbowl time:hmm3grin2orange:

There were a few god ones if you clicked some of the ones to the right of the one with the cat in the tree.

My friend Charles, a volunteer fireman, actually did that. Cat had been in the tree six days, they couldn't climb without breaking the limb, no cherry picker, so they dropped the limb right in the pond. The cat jumped off the limb about 20 feet above the water. They hadda boat waiting to pick up Kitty. The cat was fine.

Ya Mon! Stihl ROcks

KU WINS!!!!!!

We got many questions about cats in trees over the years. Our policy was to not "rescue" any cat. Some civilians were down right offended by that but we would always end the arguement by asking them how many cat skeletons they had seen in trees. I have taken our half-million dollar 104' ladder truck out and rescued a seagull. That by order of the fire chief who was ordered by the mayor. I got a ration of stuff afterwards by an animal rescue person because I let the seagull go instead of carrying it down the ladder and giving it to him. The guy was a total butt nugget and wanted us to be charged with animal cruelty.

Oh My Gawsh! I cannot believe that........well, yes I can, but OMG whutanidiot.
The Wildcare wildlife rescue person told me that they are not there for the critters, but for the people who find the critters and have misplaced emotions and get all bent outta shape cause they find an injured squirrel.

Remember the "South Park" show on PETA? I don't usually watch that show, but they sure put PETA in perspective!:crazy1: :blob5: :biggrinbounce2:

Frozen deer

A couple winters ago we had a doe punch through the ice up high.

Very little traffic. No publicity. Just some radio traffic when a concerned member of the public wanted her saved.

No rescue. (I'm just glad the FS doesn't do ice rescues.)

Nature allowed to dominate.

*****************

Seagulls are a disgusting bird.
Deer are an OK.

Go figure.
