How to hook up throttle on husqvarna rancher 55?

I put a new ring and gasket set on my dads rancher 55. And i figured out where the choke goes on but i dont see how the throttle hooks on the carb and fits over the filter. Plus if theres no gasket in between the muffler and engine would it hurt anything?

You might want to goto the "beg for manuals" thread and ask for a shop manual for the saw.

Been awhile since I've worked on one of those.

But here is how I think I've done it.

Connect the throttle link to the carb with the carb off the saw, insert throttle link into handle and bring carb down to the intake and bolt on.
