So a buddy gave me a small stihl chainsaw. It has no top cover with the model on it. The cover on the pull start says made in west germany so its older. I google stihl made in west germany and i believe I have a stihl 024 or 024av. Is there a way to tell about the av model?

It has an 024 style of air filter but I didn't think the 024's came with that type of fuel cap. That's more like an 028 style but the air filter cover doesn't seem to match their style.

I know one thing Tonydanzah your bench is way to clean

i havent checker the compression yet but it turns over like its toast. I just helped a buddy put a meoter kit (piston and jug) in a ms 440. Does anyone make a kit for this?
