how to tell what stihl chainsaw i have?

So a buddy gave me a small stihl chainsaw. It has no top cover with the model on it. The cover on the pull start says made in west germany so its older. I google stihl made in west germany and i believe I have a stihl 024 or 024av. Is there a way to tell about the av model?

Looks like a 024 with the single bar nut. As far as I can go for identification.

I change my tune and agree. No single stud 024 versions anywhere to be found in my IPL library.

i havent checker the compression yet but it turns over like its toast. I just helped a buddy put a meoter kit (piston and jug) in a ms 440. Does anyone make a kit for this?
