What's the best type of rope to use for setting up a human speedline? Are there any major things to look out for when having a tree-to-ground speedline for playin' around in the trees?

Tree to tree may be better. Landing area can be 6'-10' off the ground. With rope slack/ stretch, you should optimally start slowing down about 20'-30' from the end so you don't get flicked off the end like a booger off a fingertip.

i dont know enough about rope to say whats good and whats not, but i tried making one with some 12 strand samson and it streched so much that i nearly hit the ground when i jumped out of the tree. 24 strand rope is much less stretchy if that helps. i would also like to know the answer to this because i would really like to set on up this summer.

This is high speed stuff and should only be done low and slow at first then work your way up.
