Husky 42 build complete....

I hope you do not mind if I continue to use your thread, it will be one 42 build.

There is a few weeks since I bought one nice used Husky 42, produced year 97 week 1, cheap it was, 50$. The only wrong I could see was broken start handle and broken chain brake handle, those parts I already had.
What I hoped for was a nice crankcase and crankshaft for a 242 build, but this cylinder & piston is to good to waste...Gilardoni 242A cylinder and KolbenSchmidt piston

I always thought that Husqvarna made one type crankcase to 42/246/242, but as many will see it is not threaded for the generator.

Squish is 0,013", coke gasket will bring me up to 0,017".
Just wait for parts I have to order before I put it together.
