I have a 455 that leaks oil as soon as I pour it in the tank. Not coming from the oiler hose as I removed the clutch and plate to see where it was coming from. Oils fine out the port but runs out the bottom of the saw . Im assuming cracked case ?

I very well may be leaking around the hose that exits the oil tank to attach to the oil pump. Ihad a 455 that leaked around that hose. I was able to put some silicone RTV around the hose connections, and it stopped the leak.

The problem most often originates from the end of the hose. If you get a piece of wood stuck near the sprocket it often distorts the metal cover. If the cover is not perfect it will leak. If you find a good sealer then use that it often will eliminate leakage. It is not likely the cases are to blame. Thanks
