guys,
I am not familiar with the Husky lines,( stihls so far ) spent some time trying to familiarize myself with them on thier website. I see that the max revs for the 357 and 372 are vastly different 14k v 9600. I am assuming there is a difference in the cylendar other then the bore and stroke. any ideas? is it as simple as a rev limiter ?
thanks
Angelo

that 9600 rpm figure is the peak torque not max rpm. the 372 has 13500 rpm max and the 357 has 14000 max.

Peak power (hp), not torque.

Peak power is speced at 9600rpm on both, peak torque is at a few thousend rpm lower - but doesn't make much difference if the saw is suited to the task at hand with modern saws, even though high low-end torque give you a better margin for errors in that regard.
