Husky top cover screws

Anyone happen to know the thread size for Husky top cover screws (272xp)? Mine are stripped and I need to helicoil them.

5mm I think I used a time sert repair kit they are like 40-60 bucks depending on what size you want all the huskys form that serieres take that size I think If you have mutli husky in that time frame era I would just buy the kit much easier down the road

m5x 0.8 time sert kent moore SPX Model # J-42385-3050 is the part number off of my kit that is: inserts (10 pc??) drill, tap, installation tool. ive done a few myself and it pretty easy

Time serts all the way pricey but well worth it in my opinion. Used them on several Husqvarnas. Helicoils aren't bad just not my preferred.

You are better off tapping them to a 6mm. That uses less of the already limited metal on that part of the case.
