So, I am a homeowner type who camps and hunts a few times a year. I have no large plot of land, and live in southern Arizona with few trees. I have a Poulan Pro 5020, but am having a hard time not pulling the trigger on this 26xp. From all that I've read, this saw is a complete package but I'm wondering if it's just too much saw for a "homeowner". Any one able to talk me out of it, or into it?

Let me put it this way...

Sell your poulan 5020 for $100, buy this saw for $350, and for a total cost of $250 you will have one of the best 60cc saws ever made.

As for overkill, there is no such thing in this case....

Overkill is buying a brand new $900 pro saw and using it for an hour or two a year to cut up 6 inch brush trees....

I have had three of these 262xp saws and I can say they are the most impressive running stock 60cc saws I have ever ran.

I will also say that I have one partially torn down now that I am installing a new ring and doing a little port work on, and there is no way I would sell it for as low as the OP is selling his saw for.

This is a great price on an awesome saw with no computer crap to cause you any troubles.

All I have is a 16in setup its in good shape, pro bar with replaceable tip would do $30 chain has lots of life. Can get pic if it interest you
