Bolts and screws that come loose usually are operator errors (lack of proper maintenance). It is a very common error though, I believe most of us are guilty to some degree.
Or you can just use stihl screws/bolts and be done with it.

No, this isn't brand specific..
Some operators always have at least one screw loose at all times. I think this may be a result of over tightening and very low rakers and general ram roding.
I'm beginning to think so, sweet lookin case, little wear on the drive sprocket,white starter cord.Sounds like you got a saw that somebody built from a bucket. CJ
Yea, sounds fishy. I have had between the 272 and 372, around 10 or so and the only screws I have had loosen were the muffler and recoil housing. The trick on the muffler was to tighten a new one when it was hot the first time then the first few tanks at refill. They never loosened after that.
