I bought this off here last year as a "running, fully operational saw." Upon receipt, it had issues, primarily surging regardless of carb settings. As well, engaging the chain brake would kill the motor (may be indicative of an air leak, however, the brake band seems like it may need replacing.)
The clutch spring has some wear that could be contributing to its racing and inability to tune. Could be carb or fuel system related. I don't know.
The seller was resistant towards offering a refund, so I called it a loss and shelved it thinking I'd get around to messing with it. I haven't and don't have time to.
