Had a small dis-agreement with the wife today.. to light the first fire or not. I recon it's to warm , she didn't

Needless to say the fire guard went up and the first one is lit!

who started the thread about how long can you go.. :ices_rofl:

I shamelessly burned last night even though it wasn't that cold... mainly so the dog could have a pleasant evening nap. My neighbor commented on it (positive, wishing she had a stove too) today.

If nothing else sdt, you have to test this year's firewood!

My guilt: fired the oil funace up on weds. evening...was a little raw in the house, also wanted to see if it worked.
As far as wood is concerned, I'll wait...use the small woodstove in the house first, fire the boiler when the ouside temps get below freezing.

It was freezing here this morning. 32 degrees. We had our first frost.
Our OWB has been running over a week now.
I like having all kinds of hot water again :)

Must be nice, supposed to be 95° here tomorrow. Still in the 80ies through the 7 day forecast, Fall my butt.

I'm really looking forward to some cooler weather.
