the side access is much easier but if i need to adjust a front access i like using a regular screwdriver rather than a scrench
 
Yup when I am sawing I've always got a scrench and screwdriver with multiple sized flathead bits and a Torx bit.
 
Sidemount only for me. I won't have another saw with the front one on it.

Poor design part. That adjuster screw is easy to bend (BTDT).

One great thing about side mount - you can easily remove the power head if you get the bar pinched...had to do it again last week.
