I Hate Front Mounted Chain Tensioners

the side access is much easier but if i need to adjust a front access i like using a regular screwdriver rather than a scrench

Yup when I am sawing I've always got a scrench and screwdriver with multiple sized flathead bits and a Torx bit.

Sidemount only for me. I won't have another saw with the front one on it.

Poor design part. That adjuster screw is easy to bend (BTDT).

One great thing about side mount - you can easily remove the power head if you get the bar pinched...had to do it again last week.

I'm with Chopper Reid on this one "Harden TF UP" guys...it is what it is...a very simple and easily repairable method of chain adjustment. Don't be so miserly with the chain lube and you won't have to deal with it that often anyway.....LOL!!!

I guess so. People get used to something and don't like a change.

I've never had a problem with front or side tensioners. :msp_confused:
