I just bought a 2017 F450 6.7l powerstroke. It came with a 14ft stake bed.
Need to install a dump hoist and also build a box on the stake bed. It would be fairly easy but also a little concerned that the flatbed is heavier than it needs to be which will take away from my payload.
Haven’t come across any of those forestry chipper boxes I see a lot. Choices are limited here in Hawaii and I seen how expensive those things are brand new! YIKES!
Is there anything better to build a chipper box out of besides a flatbed? Need ideas on what to do. Also I will be switching from my crew cab to a single cab so will loose a ton of storage space for gear. Need to make some kind of storage (more than underbody boxes).
Would love to see some photos of people being creative with what they got! I recently got into welding so that will definitely help me.
