I have a dolmar 120 and a 120 super. The super has a broken mount for the lower felling dog bolt, irreparable in my opinion.

Has anyone swaped a 120 super top end onto a 120 case and crank?

I have done some research, the 120 super as a 36mm stroke as to the 35mm stroke of the 120, meaning a different part number for the crank. Swapping over with a base gasket delete may have me close, but i am not sure. I guess I could be less lazy and split the cases. But that being said, there seems to be an oddball clutch side case half that only fits the super, but not all saws got it and I am unsure of the difference.

Any help would be great.

I would want the longer stroke because that makes up some of the 7cc displacement between the 120 61cc and the 120super 68cc.

Also Shaun Carr has had great success welding the magnesium crankcases. He's done more than a couple for me. I'm sure if you strip down the 120super to the crankcase and crank, he could fix you up.
