Stove paint, barbeque paint, and automotive header paint are all basically the same....very little to them besides high temp pigment and thinner.

BBQ paint works great. No need to preheat or anything just be sure it is very clean, allow to dry then bolt on and fire up.

Bake it after at around 400 for about 10 min to cure it We pit a 800 degree powder on and it hasnt shown any burn yet.

Do you think an opened up saw muffler reaches 800* F? I have a project that I'm wanting to do this winter and haven't found anything about the temp a saw muffler reaches.

Saw dust sticks too it when muff get hot. Heat cure before it wont as much

I agree with that. it needs the heat to outgas as well. But after running the saw a few times and a few wipes no dust and the muffler looks great.

I've been using this with great success.

Hows the house smell? Did ya light a bunch of candles or something to cover up the smell?
