Is there ANY insurance company in the world willing to insure older equipment?

I need inland marine insurance on two "vintage" skidders, a 1983, and a 1988.

I think I have a better chance of walking on the moon.

Can anyone recommend a provider? I live in New Hampshire.

I've found that liability insurance on older equipment isn't too hard to find. My rates go way up if I switch from logging to fire work, though.

Hull insurance (replacement value etc.) is a whole different story. My Cat is five years old and the premiums would almost buy me another.

Check with an insurance broker. They usually handle several different companies and might be able to point you in the right direction.

Try Tregaskis ins. they are about $14 dollars for every thousand of coverage. 315-497-0410 in Moravia NY. For my 88 slideboom its about $135.00 a year for fire theft vandalism with a $500 deductable.

Thanks all.

I now have the 648D dual arch, and it is insured @ $610 a year full coverage.
But "Tregaskis" sounds very intriguing! Thanks 380!
