Is This Basswood?

Got a call to come and cut up some downed trees from the storm we had last week in good old corrupt NJ. The bark is smooth.

I'm not positive, but it sure does look like it! A picture of the bark, would be helpful, too!

Basswood crimean is what it looks like. The leaf margin
appears a little different though.

Definately not basswood. If not P. grandidentata still in the Popular genus. But, I see little question to doubt big tooth.

One more vote for populus. Too deep of ceration for basswood and too glossy (unless the camera light is playing tricks).

Lindon tree are bass wood but it looks like it tom trees

Looks a little bit like a river birch leaf. Which have some of the same characteristics as aspen. Not Bass wood. The leaves are too small for a Linden.
