That would be exactly where I got my CS56. Saved over $100 compared to my dealers 20% off price!

Oh and I like my saw so far.:greenchainsaw:

That is one of my local dealers, D&G Equipment and they have several locations and are reputable. I called on the phone, they are getting a couple truckloads in. I am going there tomorrow to look at the saws. They are made by Efco in Italy. The prices look even better on Craigs List for Lansing, MI in farm & garden than on Ebay:

CS36 $139
CS40 $155
CS46 $165
CS52 out
CS56 $299, free shipping, only a couple left
CS62 out

Backpack Blower $199
Pole pruner $199

I doubt that is a better deal anywhere for a decent saw. They will go fast.

I just received a cs 56 yesterday to replace my first saw (stihl 032). I ran it today cutting a cord and a half and it performed very well. I'd rather have it than a homeowner Stihl 290/390 disposable. The JD (efco) 56 is a pro featured saw magnesium case, steel three pc crank, two piston ring saw and was a heck of a value at 300.00 w/free shipping. Throttle response is fantastic.
Great saw for the money. 4.1 hp but seems stronger, great low end torque
Can't say enough good about it. My 361 was lonely today.

Thanks for the heads-up, Bart. That's less than I paid for my CS36LE and they're doing the free shipping thing on Craigslist too. I don't see anything over 46cc, but $165 delivered for a 46cc Efco is incredible.

I bought a JD CS 62 off this seller in Oct. Super to deal with free shipping etc. I believe he has CS56 20" 325 bar for $300 free ship. Can't beat it. I would not hesitate to buy a John Deere / Efco saw. I considered buying a MS361 but went with the CS 62 for half the money and became a JD Green fan. My brother has a 361 and yes I have put quite a bit of time on it and I would buy another CS62 in a minute. Quality saws good prices online parts availability.

meez lik um

got
cs 40 18" bar and 10" bar going to the grave yard soon
cs 62 24" bar and 28" coming soon
cs 81 36" bar and 32" bar going bye by
good sawz better built then husky. very stout design. the pro 56 and up mag case and six point av system. i modified my cs 81 with stihl 460 3/4 wrap handle and added a green pecker air filter . the saw dont rev high but has the torque cahonies to meet my sick azz needs. i like slower rpm sawz with lotso torque :chainsaw: me i wish i had the money to buy a couple more of the cs 81 sawz for back ups:( the cs 81 reminds me of my long departed 038 mag II. slow bu torque from the dark side of the moon:) :dizzy:

The 62cc one is the cream of the crop - lots of happy users out there.....

I have been looking for a liming saw and was wondering if the CS46 is a clam shell design.
How would it compare to a Dolmar 460 or 510?

The CS46 - Make no mistake its not a stihl or husky or Jred, but for me it works great on limbing and dirty work.:)

I have also a 4500V and its a nice little saw too. Not quite like the big dogs but a good little saw.

Almost forgot about the old remington JD's my dad has, cant remember which # they are but they are beast.

i just hung up the phone with lonney. ordered mine with a 18" bar. 165$ free shipping i cant beleive it.... wow have to chance my sig now....
is there a 12 step program for CAD:confused:

check out john deeres site, they give you a parts break down, it built like a pro saw.

I haven't looked at the IPLs for the 46, but in the shop manual, everything under the CS56 is clamshell.

AFAIK, the 46 and 52 are just a larger version of the 36/40 chassis. Kind of like a MS210 is to a MS180.

D&G is also listing on Craigs List the backpack blower and pole pruner for $225each. I love my Stihl pole pruner on the Kombi head, it is very useful. Helluva deal here on the JD.

yep thems good

the jdgreen prices seems to be in line:clap: the saw re good on their power to weight ratio. the cs 56 with a 18 semi skip non safety chain is a good firewood saw me i like to play with the sub 60 cc sawz for little quick jobs. if i was forced to go to a to saw plan i would look at the cs 56 and a cs 81:clap:
