Do you have the IPL for the 920? It sure looks like they built the saw with both outer and inner dogs. I bought my 920 second hand and it currently doesn't have either outer or inner dogs. I might try to convince a machinist friend to make something up for me.
Yes, I have the IPL. I can send it to you if you want it. Only an inside dog is indicated, but I read about many saws having both. The first 920 I ran had the dog and one of the bolt holes that it attached to broke out while I was using it. Seems like it would be better with an outer as well.
Yes they had an outer that mounts on the chain cover with 2 screws and has an eyelet over one of the bar studs. Just bought a large set from dave thechainsawguy. My saw has the kinda small inner. Patrick
I am machinist myself, I work at a mold shop that builds a lot of molds for stihl & husky for pistons & cylinders. Trust me for what dave asks for a used pair, i would burn up more money rounding up stock & just drilling the holes, let alone making the spike shape. Plus the reverse engineering time on seeing what the dimensions need to be for the hole locations. Patrick
I have 3 sets if needed, and one outer dawg left. The right one is outer of course, it screws in and goes over the one stud, it is more secure with the stud nut going on it. Dave.
