Lets See Next Winters Stacked Wood

Next winter is not far away lol, and well why not start posting our pictures of next winters wood that is stacked. Here are two pictures I have of about 5-6 pallets of Alder and a small amount of fruit tree wood included, and about 2 and a half pallets stacked of Big Leaf Maple and more to come.

That looks like a few years supply you got there, very nice. I always wished my pole building had a lean-to for firewood. But one side of my shed is on a hill making it too steep. And the other is right along my driveway.

PS: Stacking sucks

That pile looks much like the giant silver maple I took down last Sunday.
Then I looked back when it was down and thought I got to haul it all somehow LOL

Now I have a giant pile of silver maple at home and all I can think is I have to split and stack it somehow LOL
Split and stacked 2 cords yesterday and you couldn't even tell the pile had changed.

Taken a year ago, the pile to the left is next years wood, the pile to the right is what I burned this winter.

Usually what is in the shed will supply the house for the winter and about 1 row outside for the garage. My son is now burning wood, so it will disappear quickly.

I'm gonna try stacking my wood just like this pretty soon. Are the beams treated? Looks awesome and I bet it dries better than 3 rows of wood on pallets.

I got my hands on some free wood in the past couple of weeks to add to next year's supply. It's not all I'll need by any means, but it's a good haul.

Beech, oak, locust, and I think walnut. It's stacking up to a bit over a cord.

The pine was from right down the street from this past winter. An elderly neighbor had a dead pine taken down in her backyard, and they put all the rounds out in front of the house on the road for pick-up. I gladly took them off her hands and will have about a cord of great kindling and morning fire-revivers after I'm done splitting it all.
