It was as high as $130 a cord but is coming down with oil prices down and pulp mills closing yards to logs. At least $700 or $800 for a triaxle at least. It's gonna vary regionally within new England though.

I was quoted $850 two weeks ago in northeast CT. The same company quoted me $1000 in October and sold to my friend for $660 last June. If I can get a load for $700, I'll buy one to get ahead, otherwise I'll just keep cutting my own.

Fletcher, did you hear of the new school being built off 101? When they were clearing the land I heard you could have got a load for $600. I shoud have done it. I live in Foster, can't be to far from you.

This week Quoted $1,000. for 25 face cords. = $40. a face cord.

Oak,or Hickory ..........

(still scrounging around for other wood....)

I can get a 7 cord load for 450.00 I think I will do it. Sounds fair to me. Seasoned wood goes for 140-180 a cord delivered, 120-140 picked up.
