Looking for Oak

I live near Greensboro NC and am looking for a nice piece of Oak so I can mill it to make some stuff around the house where should I look tree company? I dont want to invest a lot of money in it because it is basically just to practice on. But I am looking for something at least 3 foot wide. Any ideas would be appreciated.

hello neighbor....... check with some of the local tree companies, I don't have anything coming up soon but I did have a nice one a few weeks ago, what type of oak you looking for or does it matter? if something comes up I'll give it to you if you'll come get it.

Not picky just some nice big oak to practice on and I would pay you something to drop it off if possibly because I dont have any way to move a piece of wood that big I do have a saw to cut it though.
