Looking for old style 3/8'' tip for a Cannon bar.

Recently got a 52'' Cannon bar really cheap that is brand new condition but want to switch from .404 to 3/8''. Any ideas on where to get the old style, half moon tips. Madsens and Baileys both said that they are no longer available.

Madsen's had 2 NOS tips awhile back. Alas, I have them now. They've since both found homes on needy bars. If you'd been looking for them just a few months ago, I'd have had you covered. Keep looking -- they're out there. Note also that the Cannon, Oregon, and General tips are all interchangeable, so that widens your options some.

Is there a proper name for that tip that I can use when asking.

I'd think that "old-style 3-rivet Oregon type" should get your foot in the door anywhere such things exist.
