Maple Log

I have been eyeballing a large maple for the past 2 years.....Today i was finally able to toss it on a trailer and bring it home....
Will end up milling it for table tops in the coming weeks, probably using my big mill...

Western maple I assume. Been down for two years. It's my experience that wood rots pretty quickly on the ground. Hopefully you'll get lucky. Fun stuff!

The log might have some spault in it and make a great table top.

Maple does not weather well so get it cut and covered, and post some more pictures!!!
