Metering lever gauge help.

Hi guys,

I have Walbro WS carb and I am setting metering lever height, however I don’t understand why this V-notch is there (Below the WS and SDC) ? All the other carbs I have done have all been the height of the sides of the carb.

Any advice and direction is much appreciated

I see what they have done in that it needs to fit inside the carb, against that plate. So I just adjusted it to that height with the gauge.

I note that the metering diaphragm has a little notch which presume fits inside the metering lever notch too. Interesting stuff.

I think the notch in the metering lever tool is because the lever is notched and not round. Might be something to do with that.

Just set the lever as the tool says,Walbro tools are pretty good.
