Milled hard wood prices ?

I was talking to a bloke that makes tables and furniture from milled sugar and spotted gum,he wonts it slabbed 65mm thick and about 2400 long and he offered me $800 per cubic meter for it.Is this reasonable or is he having a lend of me ?.

I'm coming up with a little less than $2 dollar a board foot. correct me if I'm wrong. That sounds low, but I really don't know what things are going for down there.

There are 424 board feet in a cubic meter. So that's $1.87 per board foot. I think thats right?

A bloke near here charges $300 cube to slab logs (you provide) or around $1700 cube for his slabs (I think this price for slabs is mainly Ironbark).
