mini australian sawmill shootout.

its bee a wile scince i haev posted on here but intend to keep it up this time.

i am organising a sawmill shootout to be held hopefully anualy at the "malaney wood expo" its prerry mutch a rip off of teh great sawmill shootout that you blokes have in american only a lot smaller.

the first one is to be held at the malaney wood expo on the 3rd adn 4th of may this year.

so far we have got

lucas mill pty ltd (machines yet to be finalised)
ecosaw (light weight swing saw and mini bandsaw mills)
beena tree milling (lucas 8" swing blade)

yet to be confirmed are
peterson global sales (wpf)
all tree services (peterson asm)

basicly what will happed is each compeditor will be given 2 logs and a cutting list.

each partisipant will get teh same cuttign list and same size logs, they must cut the list and as mutch wod as they can get out of the log.

It'll be interesting to see which mills come out on top. The only unknown is the skill of the operators. It would be good to have mill setup time included, although that may bore some bystanders.
