Mint 288xp

Got my 288 that I purchased off of Roger Collins today and I was impressed with it. Everything was as described and he was a pleasure to deal with as is everybody I've dealt with on AS, fired it up and wow this thing sounds nice. Don't know what to do with it as far as mods or just leave it as a shelf queen and maybe use it on rare occasions .

Great looking saw. I could not afford a divorce...

I don't run skip tooth on my 288's with 24 or 28 inch bars in any kind of wood, unless it is dirty as heck. Then I use it and round top chain to keep from having to sharpen as much.

I thought that 288's came with dual dogs.

Mine comes with one massive spring mounted felling spike, it's a hi top too. They are brilliant saws

if i came across a 288 that mint it would be for a collection. if i want to use a 288 i'll build a beater.
