More Dead and Dying Maples--a Morning on the Water

The kayak needed exercising. I paddled up the river--got into a "zone" and ended up with sore hands from paddling too far!

Look closely, there are some fall colors already.

I noticed the maples were not in very good shape-- even along the river.

The river turns a milky green this time of year. It is glacier runoff.
