I picked up a MS 180 for little of nothing today, figured it would be fun to play with. This thing takes a minute to open up when you hit the throttle. It's like it bogs down for a second, then it opens up. The carburetor has no adjustments that I can see. Does anyone have any advice on what to do to fix this saw? Carb cleaning? Carb replace?

That's normal. They are king of a self adjusting carb. Not autotune by any means, but they kind of sort themselves out after a few blips.

I worked on an ms170 that was like that. Raised the needle lever VERY slightly. Throttle response is great now. You need to make tiny adjustment, try it and do it again if it's not right. First time I went too far and saw was so rich it wouldn't run. Second try got it right. Obviously you should make sure the carb is clean and diaphams are good before trying this.
