So far I’m leaning towards the MS 462...what about you guys?

The 372xp is the best current 70cc saw out there hands down...so deep down I kinda wanna get the 572xp but from what the videos show and on paper looks like Stihl may win in the 70cc range.

I currently use an Echo CS500P 16” and a Stihl 661c 25”. My neighbor was looking at homeowner Stihl saws and I like the guy too much to let him make such a poor decision so I sold him my 371xp for $275 and it had a like new 20” powercut bar on it and still runs great so I feel I did him a favor.

I'm using a 462 with 18" for forestry and amazed how light it is,I even stuck a 30" on it the other day when I was stuck and it pulled it for fun in some nasty beechwood. But 1 flaw it has is a small fuel tank but not bad, definitely gets a thumbs up from meView attachment 657910
Lovely looking saw there :baba:

I'm more excited about the 462 than I am the 572, and I'm a Husqvarna kid.
I agree. On the other hand maybe the 572 will be a tank, in a good way.

The power to weight of the 462 looks off the charts, but then again I have my 7900's, which are in the same ballpark, and they don't require firmware updates.[emoji38] [emoji38]

Came across this by accident on Instagram. So between October and December for the 462 with any luck it seems.

The Swedish homestead guys have reviewed both on Youtube.
Power to weight ratio are very similar. Both saws looks sweet.
Links below. Very good videos imo.

IMO ..The Stihl 462 looks like the saw I would get for falling and general clean up.
Bought an older Husqvarna 80ish CC saw to fill that role until the ms462 arrives.
Subjectively, I like Stihls side access bar tensioner and internal clutch and, I have a dealer 5 mins away for service. :D
Seems Not much difference with these modern saws otherwise.

I just purchased a 266se, 268xp, 570xp and a 372xp, probably gonna refresh them if needed. I have a newer 385xp, 575xp and 353. The 372xp I’m going to port it.

I’m trying to keep the wolf away from my wallet on the newer saws but I really want a husky with electrically heated handles. Had one before.

if the 572 was out right now i'd go buy one tomorrow. the wood i'm cutting now is perfect for 70cc but no doubt in my mind i'll be back in 90cc wood by the time they finally release it. after the 461 and 661 i'm done giving stihl anymore chances although i have a few 660's. one of the few stihls worth mentioning lol
