MS290 Oil Pump Problem

Need help here:
Anyone has any idea/suggestion how to fix a broken off 'engine housing nipple' that connects to the elbow connector of an oil pump on a MS290?

I'm about ready to drill it out from behind, insert a hose and seal it with Dirko.

There was a thread where someone supposedly had a fix, I will seek it out...

I doubt it worked, we would have heard more about it....
